About the Owner
I have been a registered nurse in the Toledo area for 17 years. I have had the privilege of working in both the in-patient and out-patient setting as a critical care nurse, care coordinator, and wound care case manager. I have always had a passion for taking care of patients who have very complicated disease diagnoses.
During my time as an outpatient case manager, I noticed very serious and deadly “cracks” in our convoluted medical system. From the lack of communication between electronic medical records to the many individual specialists that do not talk to each other, the opportunities for mistakes are endless. It was also during my time as an outpatient case manager that I noticed the positive difference in health outcomes if one nurse took control of a patient’s health care.
The idea for Libellen Patient Advocates was born! Every patient deserves an RN at their side doing the research, asking the hard questions, and educating on possible options for care. As a nationally accredited Registered Nurse Patient Advocate (iRNPA) and certified case manager (CCM), I am specially trained in disease management from both an allopathic and functional medicine perspective.
Over the years, I have developed many wonderful relationships with Toledo area doctors and other care providers. I look forward to the privilege of helping you or your loved one navigate through a complex healthcare need or diagnosis.
